Winter Sip and Write

A cozy abolitionist letter-writing party. As the weather gets colder and capitalism reaches its yearly out-of-control peak, it might feel incredibly lonely or sad for locked-up people. Even when that is not the case, sending and receiving mail is exciting and fun and is one reliable way to break the many barriers between prisoners and people outside. Black and Pink have been hosting a yearly holiday card writing for nearly 15 years now, and following the formatting they use, Queers For Justice (through the Newburgh LGBTQ+ center) teams up with Black and Pink to get some good winter-loving to those who are incarcerated.
