Queer Relief Fund

What is the Queer Relief Fund?

The Queer Relief Fund provides queer folks with mini grants in the amount of $50, $100 or $200. The intent of this fund is to ensure that people in our community are able to meet their needs. Grantees may use funds to pay for basic things such as groceries, rent and/or utilities, medicine or other medical needs, internet or phone bills, or transportation costs.

How does it work?

We want to hear how receiving this grant will help you! In addition to filling out a short survey, the google form application will ask you to share how being granted these funds will help you during this pandemic. We would like to share these stories, however, we can keep your story anonymous, if you choose.

Who will be selected?

Decisions on who will receive this fund will be based on a few different factors. As we know, certain identities are more likely to be affected by social disruption, and more likely to be missed by standard institutional and governmental aid plans. Everyone is encouraged to apply and we will be prioritizing the following populations:

  • Queer and trans people of color

  • LGBTQ+ Undocumented folx

  • LGBTQ+ families*

  • Gig workers, sex workers, and other workers who have lost or reduced income

  • Formerly incarcerated folx

  • Housing insecure folx

  • Unemployed people that are not receiving unemployment benefits

  • Disabled and medically at risk folx
